January 7, 2019 – Town of Malta Board votes to reappoint Charles Weintraub to two key positions.

In separate resolutions, the Town Board of the Town of Malta voted to reappoint Mr. Weintraub as Chairman of its Emergency Preparedness Committee and as Team Leader of its Community Emergency Response Team for 2019.

September 10, 2016 – Charles Weintraub receives recognition from Town of Malta.

On September 10th Charles Weintraub received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Town of Malta “In recognition of your volunteer efforts and continuous commitment and dedication to the Malta community”.  This was presented during a ceremony at the 28th Malta Community Day celebration.

  

May 15, 2016 – Charles Weintraub completes ICS 700.

On May 15th Charles Weintraub “has reaffirmed a dedication to serve in times of crisis through continued professional development and completion of the independent study course” and received certification for completion of An Introduction to National Incident Management System (NIMS) course IS-00700-b.

  

May 7, 2016 – Charles Weintraub completes Fire Police training.

On May 7th Charles Weintraub completed and received certification for the State of New York Fire Police Training course “Fire Police”.

  

March 1, 2016 – Charles Weintraub completes EMC&T.

On March 1st Charles Weintraub attended New York State Emergency Management Certification & Training (EMC&T) and received certification for completion of “Tier 3: Local Public Officials, First Responder Leadership and Other Partners.

September 16, 2015 – Charles Weintraub completes NYCUA course.

On September 16th Charles Weintraub received a certificate for completion of the New York Credit Union Association’s 2015 Compliance and Legal course.

  

January 14, 2015 – CRKL Solutions celebrates its 10th anniversary.

CRKL Solutions celebrated its 10th anniversary today.  “I am in shock when I think of this number”, CRKL President Charles Weintraub commented, “it seems like yesterday and at the same time it seems like a hundred years ago.  A lot of hard work by a lot of very good people made this possible and I am grateful for them and their efforts.  This endeavor has been very rewarding in spite of all the lost hours of sleep over the years.”

On March 9th Charles Weintraub “has reaffirmed a dedication to serve in times of crisis through continued professional development and completion of the independent study course” and received certification for completion of the ICS for “Single Resources and Initial Action Incident” course IS-00200-b.

  

January 6, 2014 – Town of Malta Board votes to appoint Charles Weintraub as Chairperson of its Emergency Preparedness Committee.

A resolution was passed by the Town Board of the Town of Malta appointing Mr. Weintraub to fill the vacancy of the Chair position on its Emergency Preparedness Committee for 2014.  “This committee is tasked with assisting in preventing, mitigating, responding to and recovering from emergencies and disasters.  Mr. Weintraub has served on this committee for the past four years.”

In a separate resolution, the Town Board also reappointed Mr. Weintraub as Team Leader of its Community Emergency Response Team.

  

November 1, 2013 – CRKL Solutions enters into a strategic relationship with Tesco, LLC.

An opportunity arose to join the technical talent at Tesco, LLC with the intellectual property offerings of CRKL Solutions to enhance the offerings and enter a new phase of providing these solutions in new ways and to new markets.

August 1, 2011 – Town of Malta Board votes to appoint Charles Weintraub as Team Leader of its Community Emergency Response Team.

Prompted by the resignation of the existing Team Leader and the nomination of Charles Weintraub to fill the position, a resolution was passed by the Town Board of the Town of Malta to appoint Mr. Weintraub as the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Team Leader for the remainder of 2011.

  

February 14, 2011 – CRKL Solutions unveils new website.

CRKL Solutions unveiled a new website today company President Charles Weintraub announced.  “Our original website was very basic and simply stated who we are and what we do but it was very outdated.  Plus we hadn’t even updated it for quite some time”, Mr. Weintraub said. “This new one is an improvement but it still has a long way to go.”

January 14, 2010 – CRKL Solutions celebrates its fifth anniversary.

CRKL Solutions celebrated its fifth anniversary today.  “We are very excited at what this coming year holds for us”, exclaimed CRKL President, Charles Weintraub.  “We are engaged in an opportunity with an organization in Europe that has great potential.  The excitement this has generated is truly amazing and it shows how CRKL has grown.”  Mr. Weintraub also mentioned that the portfolio of offerings by CRKL is expanding as a result.  “To reach the ‘5-year mark’ in today’s economy is something of which I am very proud”, Mr. Weintraub said, “and I look forward to the next five.”

  

January 4, 2010 – Town of Malta Board votes to appoint Charles Weintraub to its Emergency Preparedness Committee.

A resolution was passed by the Town Board of the Town of Malta to appoint, among others, Charles Weintraub to its Emergency Preparedness Committee for 2010.  As a result of his position on the Malta CERT team Mr. Weintraub was asked and proudly accepted nomination to this committee.

December 24, 2007 – CRKL Solutions purchases Circle Solutions of New York.

The CRKL Solutions Board of Directors unanimously approved the purchase of its ‘sister corporation’ Circle Solutions of New York, Inc. (CSONYI) in a cash transaction.  CRKL President Charles Weintraub stated, “It made sense for us to consolidate both companies into one, making it easier for customers to obtain services from one source rather than to have to look at both companies.”  Mr. Weintraub further stated, “By doing this, we have all assets and intellectual property under one name which will make operations more efficient.  CSONYI served a very important need at the time it was created but that need has been lessened over time.”

  

June 19, 2007 – CRKL Solutions delivers the final version of its Cyber Security Training course to the NYS Office of Cyber Security and Critical Infrastructure Coordination!

Charles Weintraub (CRKL President) announced today that CRKL Solutions delivered the final version of its computer-based Cyber Security Workforce Awareness Training course developed to be used to provide training to all NYS employees regarding cyber security awareness regardless of their current level of expertise.  “When I founded the company, this was my goal!  I was so proud when I handed over the DVDs and CDs to CSCIC,” said Mr. Weintraub.

This in-depth course consists of eight modules and takes a little more than two hours to complete.  Each module instructs the user, tests their retention of the information presented, and issues a certificate upon successful completion.  The course is available in three versions:  a network version, a stand-alone (single-user) version, and an ADA-compliant version.

  

April 2, 2007 – Town of Malta Board votes to appoint Charles Weintraub to its Community Emergency Response Team.

A resolution was passed by the Town Board of the Town of Malta to appoint Charles Weintraub to its Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).  Mr. Weintraub completed his CERT certification training in December, 2006, and applied to the Town to join the CERT program.  The Town of Malta is an early adopter of this program and is one of only two communities in Saratoga County that have CERT teams.

  

March 3, 2007 – Charles Weintraub promoted to President of CRKL Solutions.

Charles Weintraub has assumed the position of President of CRKL Solutions.  Former President Ruth Weintraub said that the time had come for her to pass the baton to Charles.  “He has been involved in every facet of running this organization from Day 1 and I want to pursue other interests such as family and my volunteering.”  Mrs. Weintraub will remain in her position as Chairman of the Board of CRKL Solutions.

  

March 2, 2007 – Ruth A. Weintraub assumes complete control of CRKL Solutions.

Ruth Weintraub (Board Chairman) completed a deal today that allowed her to buy all outstanding shares held by her former business partner thus becoming sole shareholder in the corporation.  With the unanimous approval of the CRKL Solutions’ Board of Directors, a deal was crafted that Mrs. Weintraub was “anxious to offer and surprised to get”.

“I am thrilled that this transaction is complete.  After a long and often acrimonious negotiation we are now in a position to move this company forward.  We came out of this with our company and our dignity intact.  I see a very bright future for CRKL Solutions!”

  

February 16, 2006 – CRKL Solutions delivers Information Asset Classification Inventory Tool to NYS Department of Transportation.

CRKL Solutions delivered what is believed to be the first Information Asset Classification Inventory Tool of its kind in New York State to the NYS Department of Transportation who contracted CRKL Solutions to develop and deliver a database that will classify its Information Assets by their C-I-A attributes.  C-I-A stands for Confidentiality–Integrity–Availability which helps information owners determine what controls need to be implemented to safeguard the data for which they are responsible.  This tool asks a series of questions regarding the data, analyzes the responses, and determines the High/Medium/Low levels of C-I-A for every type of data.  This will allow the agency to put controls in place for the protection of its data.

  

January 14, 2006 – CRKL Solutions celebrates its One-Year Anniversary!

CRKL Solutions has reached an important milestone – the benchmark of its first year anniversary.  “In today’s world, overcoming many of the obstacles facing a start-up organization is a difficult challenge,” said company Sr. Vice President, Charles Weintraub, “but the staff faced them head-on which has allowed us to achieve this milestone with great success.  Their efforts are very much appreciated.  We look forward to the future and see the potential for tremendous growth.”

  

July 13, 2005 – CRKL Solutions awarded a contract by the NYS Office of Cyber Security and Critical Infrastructure Coordination!

CRKL Solutions was recently awarded a contract by the NYS Office of Cyber Security and Critical Infrastructure Coordination (CSCIC) to develop and deliver a computer-based Cyber Security Awareness Training program.  The curriculum for this training will be developed based on the New York State Cyber Security Policy and will be designed to provide training to all employees regarding cyber security awareness regardless of their current level of expertise.  Each module will instruct the user, test their retention of the information presented; and issue a certificate upon successful completion.

  

June 16, 2005 – CRKL Solutions presents at the 2005 NYS Cyber Security Conference!

CRKL Solutions delivered a well-received and well-attended presentation on the “Security Pitfalls of Microsoft Word and How Tracking Changes Makes a Difference”.  This non-technical presentation brought to light how the construction of Word documents can compromise information.  Also presented were some best-practice recommendations including what steps can be taken to maintain and protect the integrity of sensitive documents thereby eliminating unwanted disclosure of information that could have legal ramifications, financial risks, embarrassment, or other problems that could result.

  

January 14, 2005 – CRKL Solutions, Inc. is born!!!

CRKL Solutions, Inc. was incorporated in the State of New York today by its founder Charles Weintraub.  “This company was born out of a growing need for Cyber Security awareness”, said Mr. Weintraub, “and I feel I can gather the resources necessary to provide training in that area as well as other IT areas.”
